Driving and brain injury: the Guidelines.

Resuming driving after an acquired brain damage, such as a stroke, a brain trauma ( TC), an anoxia or an encephalitis, is for the patient a justifiable need with the aim of the independence and the social participation; this resumption of driving should be compatible with the motor, sensory and cognitive, behavioral disorders of the brain injured patient. Recent guidelines allow to answer this question.
