Spasticity and neuro-orthopedics: percutaneous tenotomies and surgery

Chairs: Philippe DENORMANDIE, Flavia Oana COROIAN, Bernard PARATTE

The surgical program to be conducted to treat neuro-orthopedic disorders of brain-injured patient can include different isolated or associated tendon and bone techniques. Prior multidisciplinary assessment fixes the therapeutic objective and the surgical strategy (tendon lengthening, tendon transfer, arthrodesis). Among the tendon techniques, percutaneous needle tenotomy can be performed efficiently in some brain-injuried patients.
