The partnership SOFMER, SIFUD PP et Convergences PP has allowed the organization of three sessions focused on the autonomic nervous system.
In this session, a lecture on the functional surgery in neuro-urology will first take place : main goals, indications (low bladder pressures, adaptation of the mode of micturition to the degree of impairment of the patients). This lecture will be followed by communications on the innervation of the detrusor, the treatment of neurogenic detrusor overactivity, the evaluation of the renal function, and the antibioprophylaxy for urodynamic studies for the patients on intermittent catheterization. Sexual problems will be then discussed as the evaluation of the sexual function in SCI women and ejaculation in SCI men. Finally the last communication will demonstrate the benefits of transanal irrigation in SCI Patients.
