Treatment of spasticity is a new developing them in PMR, both in terms of technical advances and therapeutics.
This session will provide authors with the opportunity to develop different aspects of spasticity affecting the upper limb, the lower limb, medicinal treatments (botulinum injections, baclofen pumps) and functional surgery. Use of ultrasound for botulinum injections will be examined during a dedicated workshop in addition to oral presentations. A second workshop will be proposed on the objectives of botulinum injections, muscle selection and quality control.
Several posters will be devoted to spasticity.
The spasticity session will also be a link with themes in the Stroke care, posture and gait, prehension, and other movement sessions.
